The Third Angel Poured

My dark and weird western, The Third Angel Poured, is up in The Future Fire! It’s my first publication of 2020, but not my last, and I’m super excited to share it with you!

This whole issue is about resilience and tenacity against overwhelming force, and I hope you’ll take the time to read through everyone’s stories & poetry about overcoming and surviving what tries to break us. About how we bend and bruise, but we never give up.

Wilma was raised in the West where women were expected to be witches. People counted on it, actually.

I wrote this story after a long, hot walk in the summer. The first two lines fell into my mind, and I went home and wrote until it was done. It had eleven rejections before acceptance, so if you’re in the same boat, keep trying! Don’t give up.

Let me know what you think, and thanks for reading!
